International Competition for String Quartets at the Orff-Center Munich – for promotion of young ensembles
The international competition for string quartets is a project by the Diogenes Quartet as part of the NEUSTART KULTUR initiative of the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media in cooperation with the Orff-Center in Munich.
Teaching
Our enthusiasm and passion for chamber music is so fervent that we wish to share it and to pass our knowledge on to others! This is why teaching, giving chamber music workshops and concerts for schools has been a key aspect of our work for many years now.
Discussion concerts
Playing as a string quartet is indisputably a high art. Those who do have to deal with many questions very soon. During our workshop concerts we give a little insight into our everyday rehearsal and answer many of those questions.
Brahms goes Jazz

In this groundbreaking project the Diogenes Quartet collaborates once more with its longtime chamber music partner Andreas Kirpal. Together they appear on stage with the Max Grosch Quartet.
Die 4 Münchner Stadtmusikanten
“The four musicians from Munich” is a family concert for young and old. Loosely based on the Brothers Grimm and accompanied by the music of Joseph Haydn, the story is about the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster making their way to Munich to seek their fortune.
